Great food and affortdable. Try their buttered chicken shown in my picture below Detailed: This plate of fried chicken presents a classic and irresistible dish, showcasing crispy, golden-brown pieces that are deep-fried to perfection. The coating appears well-seasoned, forming a crunchy outer layer that contrasts beautifully with the tender meat inside. The accompanying dipping sauces add layers of flavor, with a dark sauce that likely provides a rich, savory depth and another bowl featuring lime, which suggests a bright, citrusy enhancement. Visually, the dish is inviting, with each piece carefully arranged to emphasize its texture and appeal. The golden-brown hue is a clear indicator of expertly executed frying techniques, ensuring a balance between crispiness and juiciness. The presence of lime hints at a Southeast Asian or Latin American influence, where tangy acidity is used to elevate fried foods. The overall presentation is simple yet effective, focusing on the quality of the chicken itself rather than excessive garnishes. This dish appeals to both casual diners and food enthusiasts alike, offering comfort food that never fails to satisfy. Whether paired with rice, bread, or eaten alone, the fried chicken on this plate embodies the universal love for crispy, well-seasoned goodness.
Enjoyed the sweet&sour fish fillet at 150php and lumpiang shanghai 120php I ordered for lunch via grab. Portions for both dishes are generous and good for 2-3pax. The fish fillet’s taste was ok. The sauce & veggie garnishes are good. It just feels more breading than fish meat tho. BUT the shanghai was better than expected! 10pcs for 120php is sulit already - compared to Ch*wk*ng. Hehe. So when we crave for shanghai, we know where to order now. :) Also, they got us free sabaw which pleasantly surprised me at first. But after trying, it’s too salty for us. :( Tho I’m thinking to just use it as a broth for cooking para hindi sayang.
This spot offers an authentic pares experience that's definitely worth checking out. The pares was delicious, with tender, flavorful meat that really hit the spot. The butter chicken was another highlight, savory and rich in taste. The sisig and sweet and sour pork were good but not exceptional—just average in comparison. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it was a satisfying meal with a few standout dishes that make it worth visiting.
Follows basic health protocols. The staffs are neat and presentable although their faces show tiredness, may be due to all day work. The menu has a wide variety of meals to choose from. Their food taste the same way you expect for this kind of restaurant.

What is Pares? It’s a popular economical and hearty meal for locals, usually served at road side diner establishments (Pares house) or small restaurant’s (Carinderias). It’s a Filipino stew made from beef usually braised in soy sauce, served with garlic rice, and a bowl of clear soup with chilli and calamansi on the side. So how was it? Tender braised beef packed with flavour, garlic rice was as expected (rice is life in Asia, so cooked perfectly), the clear soup was delicious, and I left the table satisfied. Price wise, good value for money it was only £2.30 for the whole meal. #Pares #BeefPares #OriginalPares #MamiHouse #Beef #BeefStew #GarlicRice #FilipinoFood #PinoyFood
Went here on the night of my graduation. I gotta say that I didn’t expect the servings to be big. It was a bit greasy on some fried items but yeah it was worthwhile. I appreciate the staff for their willingness to wait for us as we order, we felt so welcomed (there were only two of us). The vibes is cool, very retro yet very distinct; I think this is their strength.
